International Symposium
Enhanced Solutions
ESAVS 2009

Introduction The increasing volume of air traffic requires enhanced surveillance technologies and procedures operating both in airspace and at airports in support of SESAR 4D-trajectory/ASAS and A-SMGCS concepts. This implies the need for accurate sensor technologies such as wide area (WAM) and airport multilateration (MLAT) and ADS-B position broadcast. Innovative solutions for guidance and control functionalities on airport surface, new system architectures, algorithms for multisensor data fusion and tracking have to efficiently co-operate with existing infrastructures like ASR and SMR. Accordingly, requirements engineering, operational aspects and useful strategies were topics of the first DGON symposium on this matter: ESAVS 2007. Due to the most promising results of this symposium we decided to organise the follow-up symposium ESAVS 2009 in Spring 2009 in Bonn, Germany. All experts and decision makers in the world of sensor, tracking, fusion and airport technology for ATC and A-SMGCS are invited to note this planning and to attend the symposium. Main Topics The Symposium will focus on:
Language The language of the Symposium will be English. Call for Papers The formal Call for Papers is planned to be distributed by September 2008. German Institute of Navigation
